Titan the Robot certainly stole the show as the special guest of Managed Technology Services specialists GCI at Microsoft’s recent Future Decoded event.
Held at the ExCel in London on 31st October and 1st November, Future Decoded is an annual event organised by Microsoft, where they and their partners showcase new and emerging tech products and services to the industry. As Headline Sponsor, GCI’s impressive stand, themed “Digital Transformers” already made them stand out from the crowd, but there was one element that was a real crowd pleaser. Enter Titan!
Titan entertained delegates at several points throughout both days, engaged with the attendees…and was even available for selfies! However, having Titan on the stand was no mere crowd-pulling stunt; GCI have a vested interest in all things AI, a topic that was a prominent talking point during this event. GCI’s own Head of Propositions, Karl Roberts, is an industry trailblazer and has pioneered ideas around intelligent meta-bot interactive assistants using Amazon Echo and Skype as an intelligent personal tax assistant. He has also designed several banking systems, including Europe’s first passive voice biometrics to combat fraud. Karl was a natural choice for a Session speaker, addressing a packed room on the subject of “The age of AI conversational commerce for next-generation Customer Service”.
Back on the stand, Titan danced and joked with the ever-increasing crowds, and was one of the biggest talking points of the whole event. Watch this space to see where he pops up next!
